Mobile kits: powering on and shutting down
Mobile only A Mobile kit has no power button on the case. It runs whenever power reaches the locking power connector, so starting it is a matter of connecting power, and stopping it safely is a matter of shutting the system down before you disconnect.
Powering on
- Fit all the antennas first. See Antennas.
- Connect the supplied vehicle adapter (12 V or 24 V DC) or the AC adapter to the locking power connector on the case, and lock it.
- Switch on or plug in the supply.
- Give the unit about a minute to start.
To see it start, open the built-in maintenance screen or connect a monitor. Once it is up, the WarDragon Console shows whether each receiver is healthy.
Shutting down
Important Shut the system down before removing power. Pulling power from a running unit can corrupt its storage.
- Open Terminal on the unit, or connect over SSH, and run the command below.
- Wait until the maintenance screen or monitor goes dark.
- Switch off or unplug the supply, then unlock and remove the power connector.
