DragonOS

An out-of-the-box Linux distribution with a pre-installed suite of open source software defined radio tools. Free to download and community supported.

Download

x86_64 — desktop and laptop

Lubuntu based. Noble, FocalX, and Focal builds are all published in the same project. Take the most recent unless you need an older base.

Live session user: live — no password. Set your own credentials on install.

Pi64 — Raspberry Pi

aarch64 build for Raspberry Pi. Requires a 32 GB SD card or larger.

Default user: dragon — password dragon. Older releases use ubuntu. Run the SDRPlay API installer under Other if you use SDRPlay hardware.

Hardware support

Verified against RTL-SDR, HackRF One, LimeSDR, BladeRF, Airspy, Ettus and USRP, Yardstick One, SDRPlay, Ubertooth, PlutoSDR, AntSDR, and others.

Where the software lives

Source-installed software is in /usr/src. Everything else came from package managers.
